In one of the many cavens that housed the cities of the Illithids, a small, rocky ledge over looked one of the smaller settlements. it wasn't extrodinary in anyway, but it was about to become the starting point for a lot of commotion.
a black disc appeared on the wall, looking vaguely like a cartoon hole. following its appearance came a small woman who simply stepped out from it. she was anything but ordinary as she wore strange clothes and wielded a giant pencil. she seemed oddly ecstatic as she wiped the hole off of the wall using the end of the pencil, failing to study her surroundings.
once the hole had gone, she twirled round with her arms outstretched.
"Alright! best themepark in the world, here i...come....?" her arms fell limply to her side when she finally noticed where she was. she had expected to come out on the surface, infront of a mound of twisty-turny tracks that were often described as a roller coaster where she was from. instead she was inside a massive cavern, on a ledge over hanging a city. her head dropped, a tear drop of sweat rolling down her cheek.
"Great, 'cus i really wanted to go cave diving..." she straightened up and pouted at the pencil, pointing at it accusingly with her free hand.
"Ok, this time i know i was concentrating on the destination! sure, i didn't know the exact address but i knew where i meant...you just didn't...oh man!" she felt another bead of sweat forming as she stared out at the city. she had no idea where she was. people didn't make cities in caverns where she was from, if they did then she would have heard about it and would therefore be able to say 'i know where i am! I'm in that cave city in such'n'such'. she sighed again and - after determining there was nowhere else to go - headed for the city.
"Well things could be worse," she mused as she traipsed around the rocks, "atleast i'm not still in that zombie filled dimension. nobody's gonna want to eat my brain around here..."
